Overall, I would definitely choose to go here for my sunday dinner such a lovely little place and the food is delicious. The reason for missing one star for half a star. If I could 4 1/2 stars is the before slightly undercooked for me. Need it to be a bit more tender is a bit tough, but the turkey was delicious and the chicken was slightly overcooked everything else was delicious. The cabbage was a bit al dente put on teams of reviews. I would definitely highly recommend it. As the things that I am mentioning or just personal things, because at the end of the day, the beef was cooked, just not quite enough to make it melt in the mouth as the same with the veg.
Brilliant Sunday lunch, chef served us at the carvery. One of our party was gluten free and was able to eat everything except the Yorkshire pudding and stuffing. Gluten free gravy was provided so perfect for everyone. Would highly recommend a visit as the staff are welcoming and the service was excellent.
One of my favourite places to eat, I've been several times and food is always amazing as is the service. Recently I have developed some quite restrictive food intolerances and when I relayed these requirements the staff were incredibly helpful, the chef went out of his way to give me several options. The food was all absolutely incredible and I really appreciated how accommodating they were. Thank you guys!❤️
Great little pub, super convenient when doing Offa's dyke path. WE had some fries which were super delicous. Unfortunately, the service wasn't that great. We first ordered two hot chocolates and the waitress looked at the drinks board behind us as if too check whether is on the menu. We got big mugs with hot chocolate but they were not very creamy and tasty. The pub is really beautiful but the waitress didn't make us feel very welcome.
1,Car park was great plenty of room 2,pub is a lovely old pub nice and warm after a long walk 3, Food not that special only beef gravy for beef ham and turkey . 4, miss match of veg Yorkshire pudding. And the meal was cold Pudding was lovely I’ve only given 3*** just for the pub and parking . More help is need with serving the food to get the food out hot No comment on the drink as we never had a drink

In August 2015, this much loved local was converted into a trendy American Hamburger restaurant by new management However, in June 2016 another change of management took it back to being a traditional pub.
