Bar staff are OK, one of the girls always looks a bit unhappy but I'm sure she's fine. Security guys are decent blokes.
Absolutely shocking at how bad this place has got. There used to be very friendly bar staff. Now the place is absolutely filthy with sticky floors and graffiti everywhere. The toilets stink and the attitude of the young Irish (I think) lady behind the bar is atrocious. She was drunk and very rude to customers, escaping to go out for a cigarette on every opportunity. I also believe the bouncer was drunk. Used to be a lovely bar, but now it has gone way down hill.
Bar 7 is still comfortable even when the establishment opened many many years ago. The female staff were very courteous, helpful and knew what my husband and I were drinking. Social distancing measures were being adhered to, which is really important right now.
Astonishingly expensive drink on last visit £5 bottle of Rekorderlig! It was under 4 quid last year and less than 4.50 about a month ago so big increases here. Love the jukebox, staff were great and they employ the least obtrusive, least intimidating bouncers ever, they are there but just mill around- they dont block the door with a face like stone for example. Wide range of ages visit here. Open really late- probably till like 4am or so on peak nights. Just gonna have to find a different drink! Edit. Despite the above i purchased a Rekorderlig again on last visit, this time at £4.50, which was what it was last year, methinks people are just adding 50p on in the hopes of conning the customer and they wont notice. Prices are definitely variable depending on the barstaff.
I have spent many great nights in bar 7 going back to 2009 and through when Steve had it, Roxy , Hannah and all the girls and huys who managed the bar, done door and all the guys and girls who came and went on their way through this life . even today, though I'm getting older and must leave it to the New generation, a wonderful place , Love and lost to all those who care!
