The pub has a large main bar, offering multi-screen sports, pool and darts, as well as a selection of wines, spirits, hot and cold soft drinks and Charles Wells traditional real ales. To the rear of the bar is a delightful courtyard, far from the hustle and bustle of the main shopping areas only yards away - a great place to stop in for a quiet drink, A real sun trap in the summer!!.
During the day the pub is busy with people taking a little time out from the day, and in the evening our entertainments and pub games kick in. We currently have pool teams, men's and ladies' darts, aunt sally and a quiz night on Sunday. Every Saturday night we have Smorkies Karaoke with Brian (DJ Porky) as our host from 9pm its a great night for all who want to sing and have their 3 minutes of fame and be the star of the bar.
The Banbury Cross is also the place to be for live sport!! We have SKY and BT Sport played across 8 screens which includes 2 outside tv's in our patio garden. We can also show multiple games at the same time.

Very expensive. £8.40 for a small bottle beer and pint lime and lemonade. That is £2 more then a pint of draft and pint of lime and lemonade in my local. Ignore the food rating, cannot comment, did not have any.
Atmosphere great and karaoke entertaining. However, miserable older lady cleared my baileys, from the bar and said it was empty!! No it wasn't ... the ice covered it before I started drinking it!! Such a shame to spoil a good evening ... Needless to say I didn't buy another drink after that so the bar lost out for sure!!
Fantastic pub. Went with our band and played in the courtyard. There was a great crowd. Doormen are a bit trigger happy, but apart from that, it is a great place. I will be back in the very near future, either with the band or as a punter! Must also point out that the Gents is probably the cleanest in town. It makes a refreshing change!! Well done to whoever is in charge of that.
Love this place my second home staff are so friendly and Gail and dave are such lovely people and friends karaoke on Friday night is fantastic and Saturday nights are fantastic too lots of bands and disco new year eve party's as well can't recommend this enough
Vile owner. Will never ever go in here again. The owner needs to go on anger management course!! I showed ur bar staff I had money in my account!!! Sometimes mate ur card declines even though you have money in it!!! The way u ripped the drink my friend had out of her hand which she had already paid for is disgusting!!! Ur need anger management. Spit on u. In ur dreams baby
