About us

We specialise in great real ales and craft beers from microbreweries. We don’t sell any mainstream draught beers.

We have an extensive Gin Menu and a growing range of malt whiskies. Our food is simple platters of Shropshire and Welsh Cheeses and Antipasti, locally made pork pies and scotch eggs and Ploughman’s Lunches. We source as many ingredients locally as possible.

We try to be friendly pub, working with the local community and community groups.

We want to see the community in The Bailey Head. Whether it is a “stitch and bitch” group, or a local club or society. We will be happy to reserve an area for you.

Dogs are very welcome, just ask for a water bowl. And we aim to have some doggy snacks available.

Walkers, cyclists, motor cyclists, morris dancers, dogs … all welcome.

In addition we have live music nights, concentrating on roots, blues and the more esoteric.
