Situated on Vineyards (The Paragon), The Star Inn remains a classic example of an untouched multi-roomed English public house, where beer is still served from the jug. First licensed in 1760, The Star Inn retains many of its original features including 18th century bar fittings and wooden benches. Described by CAMRA (The Campaign for Real Ale) as a ‘rare and unspoiled pub interior of outstanding historic interest’, the Star Inn is listed on the National Inventory of Heritage Pubs.
No games machines, no music, no pool table and no cordon bleu food menu to distract the taste buds - but The Star Inn still shines on in Bath. The 16th century pub on the Paragon is one of only two pubs in the city to make the main listings in the 2004 Good Pub Guide. The judges all agreed that "this old pub gives a strong sense of the past. With no machines or music, chat's the thing here - or perhaps cribbage, dominoes and shove halfpenny.".

Just as pubs used to and u wish they still were 2 roaring fires and great selection of beers and ciders
Great old style pub. Nothing changed for 200 years, no tv, no piped music, no fruit machines. Firs in the winter, Bass straight from the barrel. A must visit f you're visiting Bath and like unchanged pubs, with good beer and conversation.
Classic, traditional boozer. Very cosy, great beer, and a great pint of very hard to find Bass straight from the barrel. Very friendly staff. No music and food, which is great - you come here to chat and enjoy some drinks!
Loved this little traditional pub. Oozes an abundance of worn charm. Had a great conversation with one of the locals. A small selection of cask ale.
Beautiful pub, lovely staff. Cask selection is great with well kept beers served with a smile. Draft Bass…
