About us

The Anvil Lodge sits just off the main street, far enough away from the hustle and bustle of this old market town but within easy walking distance to the vast selection of pubs, restaurants and quaint shops. It has excellent access via the A5, M54 and main line railway station in Shifnal to major towns, cities and tourist attractions.

All this makes The Anvil Lodge, Shifnal an ideal bed and breakfast Shropshire stay for both business guests and people looking for a base to spend leisure time visiting the numerous places of interest.

Whether on business or pleasure, take time to enjoy Judy and Michael's magnificent breakfasts.

This was a brilliant place to say halfway on our journey to a holiday in Wales. A spacious quiet room with a big very comfortable bed. Mike was a friendly host who cooked us a lovely breakfast and advised us of things we could could do while in the area. One was to visit the local RAF museum, which was really interesting, so very grateful for that information. Would definitely recommend.

VERY comfortable bed, great breakfast, spotlessly clean. Really enjoyed our stay. Meeting Mick and Judy was a real pleasure.

The hosts, Judy and Michael, were wonderful and made us very welcome. The room was spacious and very clean. Plenty of teas, coffees, water and biscuits. Bathroom was very large and well stocked. Breakfast was superb and plenty of it. Secure car parking on site. Will definitely return. Neil and Maria.

Lovely stay. Room was very clean and spacious. Hosts Mick and Judy really welcoming and nothing was too much trouble. Excellent breakfast. Good location. Pub next door well worth a visit. Would highly recommend.

The hosts were very welcoming and friendly. Just before Easter we booked 3 rooms, for 3 nights, and all of them were superb. Nicely decorated, very clean and all had a separate bath and shower. Breakfast was very varied and excellent too! We would definitely book again but unfortunately no dogs allowed.
