Great place for a quick pint or a longer stay with a meal. Good selection of pub food cooked to order. Ham and eggs are home cooked in cider 😋. Has a great garden with pods and grass very dog friendly. 🐕. That makes a nice change. Staff are polite and helpful.

I eat here every week and it’s the best local pub that I have ever been to. The kitchen is not much bigger than my downstairs loo so when it is busy, most nights, there is a bit of a wait. When it comes it often interrupts your conversation with one of the locals and you wish they had been slower. There is nothing I can fault, the land lady and her partner/husband/bouncer for their effort to make your evening great. Keep it up and don’t retire.

Absolutely LOVE this pub!!! The owners and staff are very friendly and welcoming and it’s easy to see just how much effort they put into the place. Both inside and the beer garden have been decorated in such a great quirky way, with so much attention to all the little things. You won’t find another pub like it in the area. The food is always great! Home cooked, large portions and they always cater well to our different dietary requirements. The chips smothered in their curry is my favourite! Very dog friendly in a beautiful setting! Huge thanks to the owners and staff for creating such a great, unique place. Thank you.

We’ve popped by to The Angel on several occasions and each and every time have found it to be welcoming and fun. We’ve seen live bands, enjoyed festival days and charity days, met friends, had the food and generally always enjoyed ourselves. Don’t listen to the naynays who are trying to slate a hard-working team because they had a bit of a wait for their tea on a busy day, they always work hard in the pub and do everything they can to make customers welcome.

This pub is wicked, it mixes the traditional style with a modern twist, someone definitely has a good eye for decor. Pool, darts and a garden, foods good too!
