This is a lovely village pub, where you will get a warm welcome. The food is good and reasonably priced with great veggie options. Good selection of drinks. Ideal for a sunday roast
Great location on the waterfront. The mussels were great, definitely recommend those. Mackerel pate was okay but I wouldn't choose it again. Pork belly was good and I found the beef bourginion very salty, so much so I couldn't eat it all. My glass was dirty but my husband's was clean so maybe I was just unlucky. I would go back but would choose more carefully next time. Very lovely staff.
Tasty food, friendly service and a relaxed atmosphere. I'll happily go again.
We had a very enjoyable meal at The Anchor in Rowhedge yesterday evening. We received a warm welcome when we entered the pub and the lady behind the bar was really polite, friendly and helpful. The menu was large and varied with good sized portions and a great choice of real ales. We had a lovely view of the river and there was a warm buzz with a full restaurant. The waitress was attentive and polite and the staff friendly as we said goodbye. We can’t wait to go back.
We came here last night and this place, is beautiful! The staff were welcoming and lovely. The food was so amazing and I especially loved the cheesy mash that came with the beef rib main, the garlic bread starter was just the right amount that I didn't get full before my main and the sticky toffee pudding and custard for dessert wasn't too sweet like alot are. This place has made it to the top of my places to eat list and I will absolutely be back, very soon x
