About us

The Altisidora is a whitewashed country pub set in a delightful 15th century collection of buildings, sitting in the pretty village of Bishop Burton, just outside Beverley. We boast a peaceful ambience with blooming hanging baskets, a superb beer garden to cosy interiors, with hearty fires. Our friendly and attentive staff make the Altisidora a lovely place to spend a hot summer afternoon or a cold winters night.

Our delicious home cooked menu is served everyday from 12 noon until 9pm. We carry a great range of real ales, guest beers, wines, gins, cocktails and soft drinks. So why not unwind with a pint and soak up the perfect pub atmosphere. Hot food, cold beer, warm memories! We also have a good old fashioned dart board and a selection of board games available for your entertainment. The very basics of the great British pub!

Larger party? Why not book our Chapel, Private Dining area – Suitable for bookings of 10 and 30 people! Also available for meetings.

The wife had a hunters chicken. I had a plain burger with chips. We both had dessert. All the food was amazing and came out fast and was really hot. It was amazing from start to finish and will definitely be returning. Hats of to your waiting staff and tour chefs.

We travelled from Gilberdyke, about 40 minutes from the Altisidora where we have been fairly regular attendees for several years now. , We were well received at the door and immediately shown to a clean, well prepared table by a very pleasant young lady. Drinks were offered quickly and we ordered Sunday Lunch which arrived in very reasonable time. (Toilets were, as always, very clean.) If there is a better Sunday Lunch for the price anywhere else in Yorkshire, we have not found it yet! The food was plentiful and of excellent quality. Served with a smile and we were thoroughly content. Excellent all round and a cheery dispatch to the car park too! Just Well Done to the staff ( and the chef needs a pay rise!). Superb!

We’ve driven passed several times on our way to the east coast, both expressing how one day we’d like to stop and eat there. So this Sunday we did just that, our expectations were met as the interior of the restaurant was just as we’d imagined, as was the food and friendly staff! An all round fantastic experience, well done!

Friendly greeting and shown to our booked table even though we were 30 minutes early. Drinks ordered and swiftly brought out. Only downer is that they didn't have soya milk for my lactose intolerance. The food was very nice and very filling. Couldn't manage a dessert even though the apple and cherry crumble was calling to me. Will make a return visit.

Lovely food in a lovely pub. I had the mixed grill and it was absolutely fantastic, cooked to perfection. The missus had a lasagne and she said it was very tasty, she especially liked the ciabatta that came with it. The staff were all very friendly and attentive.
