Admiral Rodney, NG14

Admiral Rodney

Situated on Main Street, between Manor Road and Old Hall Close. The inn was named after Admiral George Brydges Rodney who was the victor over the French in the Battle of the Saints in 1782, which saved the West Indies for Britain.

17/09/2012 White wine — Excellent food, well worth the money View
26/09/2011 Excellent food at exceptionally good prices — I fed four of us for less than £30 with drinks. Sunday lunch is brilliant value at £6.95 and is as good if not better as a £12.95 lunch only a couple of miles away. Excellent pub - highly recommended View

Admiral Rodney Inn, SY5

Admiral Rodney Inn

The Admiral Rodney dates from 1847 and is a traditional stone and slate country pub. It is set in a lovely location at the base of 1000 feet high Criggion Hill, with footpath and walks to Rodneys Pillar. We are popular with walkers and cyclists.

04/06/2014 A very warm and friendly pub with excellent food — stayed close by for 6 nights in march 2014. The staff were warm and friendly. The food was excellently cooked home food at unbelievable prices and pudding like your Grandma use to make. We will be coming back to this area and will not be looking for anywhere else to eat. View
10/11/2013 A nice old time pub. — I nice little old time traditional pub, set in stunning walking hills. A little tired from the outside, though welcoming inside. Pleasant welcoming staff and locals too. Food though basic earthy cuisine is fine for those that have either been walking all day or for those who prefer non fussy regular food. Very good value. Good beers and decent cider on draught. Landlady delightful. Also on show is a local cabinet makers very interesting pieces throughout the pub. Thanks for the experience. View
